In The Spotlight

Dr. Judith Fitzpatrick, developer of microBIOMETER®, was interviewed for Successful Farming's article Soil Health at your Fingertips.

The article addresses the need to move from traditional soil tests, which provide a general overview, towards soil health tests like microBIOMETER® which provide important details about the function of the soil.

Shane Bugeja, Extension educator with the University of Minnesota, explains, “Soil health tests not only focus on the physical or chemical characteristics of the soil but also try to measure biological life. Think about how complicated life is; it’s just as complicated underground.”

Quotes, facts and research.

"Nature has been experimenting with fungi for a billion years, perfecting a lot of powerful survival tools. We can use these tools in fantastic ways—to revive damaged ecosystems, to offset global warming, and even to prevent diseases."

~Paul Stamets, American mycologist
