Think Regeneration

We are excited to partner with Think Regeneration to support the Regenerate AZ program which will build a hub of regenerative farmers and ranchers in the water-starved southwest.

An event later in 2023 will bring a small group of producers to the first Regenerative Organic Certified® farms in Arizona to share practices that help increase soil health and nutrient density, learn from each other, and develop a strong understanding of how to grow healthy food in drought conditions.

Our team at microBIOMETER® will be working closely with Dr. Yadi Wang, PhD, the farm manager at Oatman Flats Ranch, to assist him in measuring his bacteria-to-fungal ratios in the soil. Dr. Wang will also be providing feedback on how our device is working with hot, arid Arizona soils.

Francis Bucaille, Gaiago

Concrete tests can be carried out by farmers

Francis Bucaille, farmer, consultant, and co-founder of Gaiago, was recently featured in the French publication REUSSIR.

In the article, Francis, a long-time supporter of microBIOMETER®, discusses recommended soil testing tools for farmers.

Soils are mainly unbalanced as regards to the fungal to bacterial ratio (not enough fungi) and fungi is essential for storing carbon. Gaiago’s product, Nutrigeo, can wake up dormant fungal spores in the soil. This was confirmed through a study with UniLaSalle University. Meanwhile the soil organic matter (SOM) is rising as well. Gaiago began using microBIOMETER® as an easy, inexpensive tool to quickly confirm what was previously found by top level technologies at the University and they continue to use it to monitor changes.
